Staple Design was engaged to design a new contemporary kitchen and laundry for the owners of a 1940’s home in Swanbourne. The clients brief was to create a simple, timeless ‘white’ kitchen.
The key aspects of this project included demolishing the corner pantry, enhancing the circulation through the kitchen and screening off the laundry. A large pendant light hangs centrally over the island bench creating a focal point for the entire living area. The pendant light is a contemporary interpretation of the classic grand chandelier which is a beautiful reference back to the front of the home with its more traditional details.
